Ahmedabad: A unique cooking show of more than 15 blind women was held at Pawandham on the initiative of Ranjanben Ramanlal Charitable Trust and The Society for Physically Handicapped, Ahmedabad. All these women displayed their skills by cooking various dishes. Team Manager Mr. Kalpeshbhai Trivedi, Mr. Mukeshbhai Patel of RR Charitable Trust, Mr. Kantibhai Parmar of The Society for Physically Handicapped and Mr. Chandubhai Bhati, Secretary, The Society for Physically Handicapped were present on this occasion.
Speaking about this innovative initiative, Team Manager Mr. Kalpeshbhai Trivedi said, “The objective of this program is to create awareness in the society. These sighted sisters have proved that blind people have their own unique art like common people. They too can cook so beautifully and be self-sufficient. They need no support.”
Apart from this, all these blind women along with team manager Mr. Kalpeshbhai Trivedi are being sent by R.R. Charitable Trust for cooking show program in USA soon. Along with them, the blind men and orchestra team for lokdayra will also go to USA and present their talent to the society.
