Nirmal Salvi, son of Ashok Kumar Salvi of Patan and his family had opened a showroom called “Patola by Nirmal Salvi” in Sindhubhavan Marg in Ahmedabad about 4 years ago with the aim of making this heritage of Patan still more famous in the world. During this period many businessmen and celebrities were attracted by Patola’s craftsmanship and design and adopted Patola as an innovative fashion.
Nirmal Salvi also decided to have a modern showroom in Mumbai so that no one would be unaware of Patan’s historical heritage and reach out to all. The show-room of “Patola by Nirmal Salvi” was inaugurated on 5th March ( Saturday ) by Smt. Rashmiben Thackeray, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray. Rashmiben Thackeray, who was well aware of the importance of Patola , also came dressed in Patola sari of Patan at the time of inauguration. Celebrities & Renowned business class fraternity from Mumbai attended the inauguration ceremony they appreciated and wished Nirmal Salvi , Ashokbhai Salvi, Viralbhai Salvi and Arpit Patel for they new venture.
