Surat, : Known as one of the most buzzing cultural hubs im Western India, Surat has traditionally been a land with the best creative minds across Arts and Culture. Gallery Hissa today announced its first curated show ‘Enduring Minds’ that would provide a platform for the artists from.Surat to showcase their creative works as the show attempts to sow seeds for long-lasting engagement with an array of creative practices.
Scheduled on 26th and 27th December 2020, ‘Enduring Minds’ invites viewers to a diverse range of drawings, paintings, sculptures, video works that represent the sensibilities of the artists. The event is also an initiative to support the Arts industry, which has been majorly hit by the Corona Virus pandemic.
Talking about the show, Khushboo Aggrawal, Founder, Hissa Art,, said, “We are pleased to announce our first curated show ‘Enduring Minds’ that would provide a platform for the best creative minds of the city. Considering all safety precautions and abiding to the government regulations, we would like to invite art lovers and art enthusiasts to experience the best artistic works of the city. As the past year has been a difficult time for the arts industry, we at Hissa are committed to serve the interests of the artistic community and would like to urge everyone to show support in carrying the creative legacy forward.”
Founded with a vision to provide a platform for the artists to express themselves, ‘Hissa’, which literally means ‘part’ is an arts initiative built on the belief to foster individual creative voices and journeys of creative minds across art, craft and design. Under its initiative umbrella Hissa hosts ‘Gallery Hissa’ – a curated show, ‘Talk Hissa’ – a platform for competent speakers, ‘Mentor Hissa’ – an initiative to nurture raw yet committed creative minds, ‘Meet Hissa’ – a gathering space for artists, ‘Co-Art Hissa’ – An artistic collaborative space and its upcoming ‘Cafe Hissa’ – a place for the best artistic experiences with some food and coffee.
‘Enduring Minds’ would be open for viewing on 26th and 27th December 2020 from 11 am to 8 pm at the Noopur Nritya Academy, 11 / Prakash Society, Athwalines, Surat.
