With an aim to bring the youth of Sindhi society on one
platform and make them financially empowered and self-reliant, the first Global Sindhu
Summit 2022 was organized by Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha, the largest organization of
Sindhi society in India. Sindhi industrialists, businessmen and professionals from 10
countries participated in a grand event held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the
Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) in Bhat, Ahmedabad.
Representatives and dignitaries from various government institutions including Gujarat's
Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Pradipsinh Parmar and Minister of
State for Cottage Industries and Co-operation Shri Jagdishbhai Panchal also graced the
occasion.
The Global Sindhu Summit was inaugurated by Shri Ravi Iyer, RSS Pracharak and
International Joint Co-ordinator of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS). He was also the
chief guest of the event. He called upon the Sindhi youth to come forward to become
financially self-reliant and play an active role in India's growth story and strengthen the
social fabric.
Commenting on the success of the event, Mr. Nikhil Methiya, Youth President,
Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha-Gujarat, and Co-ordinator, Global Sindhu Summit, said,
“This first in India Global Summit has received an unprecedented response from the
Sindhi community. This day was especially important for us as we also celebrate Sindhi
Language Day on 10th April. With this summit, we wish to achieve socio-economic
empowerment, value-based education, community welfare, the practice of compassion,
the spread of global friendship, and the spiritual upliftment of fellow beings. The Sindhi
community has always played an important role in the progress of the country by being at
the forefront of trade and industry. Through this summit, we have reaffirmed our
commitment to build a strong nation by bringing together Sindhi leaders from home and
abroad and encouraged by the youth."
Gujarat's Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Pradipsinh Parmar, who was
present during the program, appreciated the leading role of Sindhi community in the
progress of Gujarat. He reiterated that it is an excellent and strong platform for Sindhi
youth to become self-reliant. Shri Jagdish Panchal, Minister of State for Cottage Industries
and Co-operation, Gujarat also congratulated the Sindhi community and expressed hope
that more and more Sindhi youth would contribute towards building a strong Gujarat by
achieving socio-economic development.
In this summit, the country's leading Sindhi industrialists, businessmen and professionals
encouraged the Sindhi youth. The summit was attended by about 600 delegates from
India and abroad and was visited by around 15,000 people. Global Sindhu Summit had
organized Business Conferences, Business Exhibition, Sindhi Folk Festival and Sindhi
Food Festival. In the business conference, leading speakers like Mr. Nikhil Chandwani
(Influencer), Shri Raj Rahora (Social Media Expert), Ms. Simran Dhameja (E-commerce
Expert), Mr. Umesh Uttamchandani (Founder, Dev Accelerator), Mr. Deepak Mulchandani
(AGM at SIDBI), Mr. Rohit Goplani (Founder & CEO, GEM Partners), Mr. Mukesh Samtani
(Senior Assistant Director at EEPC India), Mr. Anil Bhambhani (Chartered Accountant &
Wealth Management Expert) and Mr. Ram Kundanani (UK based Management and IT
Consultant) delivered detailed speeches on topics like Digital World, Startups,
Investments, Import-Export and interacted with Sindhi youth.
Top Business personalities and professionals from across the country had revealed the
secrets of their success to motivate and inspire the youth. Mr. Rajesh Vasvani (Owner,
Venus group of companies), Mr. Madan Dodeja (Founder and CEO, Vashi Integrated
Solutions), Mr. Suresh Nihalani (Director, The Sindhu Resettlement Corporation Ltd), IPS
Sandeep Rupela (ACP, New Delhi), Mr. Prem Lalwani (Owner, Shree Ganesh
Corporation) and Mr. Haresh Karamchandani (MD & CEO, Hyfun Foods) encouraged the
youth by giving interesting presentations on how they achieved success through their
struggle, strong morale, relentless hard work and leadership.
The Global Sindhu Summit also hosted the Sindhu Business Exhibition in which around
80 businessmen presented their businesses. Sindhi youth came to know about new areas
and business opportunities through this exhibition. The Summit proved to be the best
platform for them to start their own business with less capital and to get professional
guidance from experts from various fields. Why Sindhi people are known as best
businessmen in the world, what precautions should be taken for success in business, how
to digest failure and how one Sindhi will hold hands with another Sindhi to achieve overall
growth and success were discussed and explored throughout the summit.
As part of the program, a Sindhi Folk Festival was also organized to showcase the
splendour of Sindhi language and culture, in which the oldest Sindhu culture of the country
got a glimpse. At the Sindhi Food Festival, visitors and delegates tasted world famous
Sindhi delicacies like Dal-Pakwan, Bhasad Koki, Kadi-Chawal, Bhi, Chillo and learned
recipes from various chefs. To promote women empowerment, all stalls were given only to
women in the food festival who prepared and presented various Sindhi dishes.
