IFGA – marks a significant milestone for the garment industry in India. Federation will serve as a unified platform to represent the interests of the trade & industry and work towards its all round growth and development.
Federation will take up issues of garment manufacturers, exporters, dealer, distributors, retailers, designers, and other stakeholders. Now there will be a collective voice to address the challenges and concerns faced by the industry. The federation aims to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation within the sector.
The Indian garment industry is a crucial contributor to the country’s economy, providing employment opportunities to millions of people. In fact garment industry creates highest employment after the agriculture, however, it faces various issues such as stiff competition, changing consumer preferences, and evolving global trade dynamics. The Federation will play a vital role in addressing these challenges and promoting the industry’s interests at both national and international levels.
The Indian Federation of Garment Association will also focus on enhancing the sector’s sustainability and responsible practices. This includes promoting ethical manufacturing processes, ensuring fair wages and working conditions, and encouraging environmentally friendly production methods.
By bringing together the industry’s key players under one umbrella, the federation will create a unified front to communicate with the government, policymakers, and regulatory authorities. This will enable effective advocacy and lobbying efforts to ensure that the industry’s concerns are adequately addressed and policies are formulated in its best interest.
