Gujraj Foundation Gujarat Rajasthan Maitri Sangh has organized a unique Holi Milan ceremony, a five-day fair in Ahmedabad Haat, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad from March 29 to April 2 on the occasion of Rajasthan Foundation Day. It is worth mentioning that the festival of Holi is like New Year for Marwari society and since it is also the foundation day of Rajasthan, this foundation has come up with many programs. The organization has been functioning for 11 years and its aim is to bring people together not only from the Marwari community but from every community. The event is expected to have a footfall of around 20 to 25 thousand attendees. The coordinator of this program is Shri Narendra Purohit.
The 5-day fair will have around 100 stalls in which various products of Rajasthan will be exhibited and sold to provide employment to the women and workers. The program will be inaugurated on March 29. Many cultural programs will be performed on 30th March in which Rajasthan’s popular gair dance, Kalbeliya dance, colorful cultural evening, folk dance will also be presented. Many renowned artists will showcase their art including Rajavardhan Suthar and his team.
During these 5 days there will be medical camp, blood donation camp, free glasses distribution etc. and a special housie game is planned to be played on 31st March which will be a center of attraction for people. Apart from this, there will be many attractions including Fancy Dress Competition, Kavi Sammelan, Mehndi Competition, Painting Competition. The main theme of this Sneh Milan Mela is “Our Culture, Our Pride” which is important to carry forward our Indian cultural heritage. Another special attraction is that a special Golgappa competition for women has been organized on the auspicious occasion of Sheetla Satam on 1st April.
