Rajkot, Gujarat, India – 12-March-2024 – A 9-year-old Mast Henil Chintanbhai Makani was brought to Wockhardt Hospital, Rajkot admitted on March 4th, 2025, following a road traffic accident (RTA) on Amin Marg. He was brought to our emergency department I the evening with a large CLW with bleeding over right forearm. The wound contaminated with dust and debries.
Mast Henil was brought to the emergency department with a large, contaminated laceration wound and bleeding on his right forearm. He was immediately assessed by a team of specialists, led by Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Hardik Dhamsania. After a thorough evaluation by the pediatrician and anesthetist, and in accordance with legal guidelines, a medico-legal case was registered with Malaviya Nagar Police Station.
Following the consent, Mast Henil underwent emergency surgery, including laceration repair, muscle repair, and debridement. The procedure was successful, and the patient’s post-operative recovery has been excellent.
Mast Henil was discharged on March 5th, 2025, and had a follow-up appointment on March 8th, 2025, where the wound was found to be clean and healing well. Instructions were given for suture removal after 15-20 days.
