Ahmedabad,12 November 2025, CII Chemicals and Petrochemicals Expo 2025 Highlights India’s Leadership and Opportunities in the Global Chemicals Value Chain between 12–14 November 2025 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with the support of the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India, is organising the CII Chemicals and Petrochemicals Expo 2025 (CPX 2025) from 12–14 November 2025 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of several key dignitaries, including Mr R. Mukundan, President Designate, CII, Chairman, CII National Committee on Chemicals and Petrochemicals, and Managing Director, Tata Chemicals Ltd., Mr Rupark Sarswat, Chairman, CPX 2025, and CEO, India Glycols Ltd., Mr Premraj Keshyep, Chairman, CII Gujarat State Council and Founder and Managing Director, Conmat Heavy Industries Pvt Ltd, and Mr Ankur Singh Chauhan, Executive Director, CII.

Mr Rupark Saraswat welcomed the esteemed speakers and delegates and highlighted that India has the opportunity to move beyond being a volume-driven exporter to becoming a partner in high-value, technology-intensive chemical value chains. He aligned his vision with trade realignment, technological transformation, and regulatory evolution.
Mr R Mukundan offered his four-point suggestions, namely: enhanced competitiveness driven by rising demand; talent and skills for building a future-ready workforce; AI and digitalisation to adopt industry 4.0 solutions; and quality, safety, and sustainability beyond regulatory compliance.
Mr Jayanti Patel emphasised reducing dependence on a narrow set of markets and enhancing our participation in regional and bilateral trade opportunities.
Mr Premraj Keshyep, in his closing remarks, focused on Gujarat as a state rightly known as the “Chemical and Petrochemical Gateway of India. He spoke about Gujarat’s industrial ecosystem, which is vibrant, dynamic, and scaled for global impact. He strongly encouraged every delegate to utilise the next three days to visit the Expo, where the strategies discussed in the conference will materialise.

The inaugural session was followed by focused conference sessions, with key discussion themes covering Navigating Global Trade Challenges, Becoming Future-Ready with AI, and Emerging Regulations in the Chemicals and Petrochemicals Sector.
