Following the success of its inaugural Hyderabad edition last year, India Art Fair brings the second edition of IAF EDI+IONS to Ahmedabad, taking place on 19-20 September 2026 at The Baronet House (Sanjay MS Raval Skill Centre).
IAF EDI+IONS Ahmedabad brings together 18 participants, including 4 Ahmedabad-based galleries, spotlighting the city’s distinctive artistic ecosystem alongside leading voices in modern and contemporary art and design from across India.
A citywide programme beginning on 18 September will extend beyond the showcase with gallery walkthroughs, artist open studios, exhibitions, music, conversations and cultural gatherings across Ahmedabad, developed with partners including Zydus Foundation, Kanoria Centre for Arts, Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum, Raw Mango and Architectural Digest (AD).
BMW India continues as Presenting Partner of IAF EDI+IONS, extending its long-standing collaboration with India Art Fair and supporting the travelling format as it expands into new cultural geographies across India.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in Hyderabad last year, India Art Fair brings the second edition of IAF EDI+IONS to Ahmedabad, reaffirming the fair’s commitment to expanding its regional footprint and strengthening art ecosystems across India – celebrating the best of art and culture from across South Asia.
Taking place on 19-20 September 2026 at The Baronet House (Sanjay MS Raval Skill Centre), IAF EDI+IONS Ahmedabad brings together 18 leading galleries – including 4 galleries based in Ahmedabad and 2 design participants and 1 institution – spotlighting the city’s vibrant art and design ecosystem alongside leading contemporary voices from across India. Taking over The Baronet House, a century-old-Indo-Gothic landmark nestled within the historic Shahibaug neighborhood, the showcase transforms one of Ahmedabad’s distinctive heritage buildings into a vibrant platform for artistic and cultural exchange.

The weekend opens on Friday, 18 September 2026, with a series of Gallery Walkthroughs celebrating Ahmedabad’s rich artistic heritage and pioneering galleries. This special city-wide event takes groups of visitors through exhibitions on view at 079 | STORIES ART GALLERY, Iram Modern, and Archer Art Gallery, offering curatorial insights and conversations with the gallerists.
At 079 | STORIES ART GALLERY, artist Khanjan Dalal presents Truth is Stranger Than Fiction, a sculptural series in ceramics. Iram Modern showcases The Living Earth, bringing together a selection of works by modern masters. Archer Art Gallery features Parikrama, a solo presentation by Ganesh Gohain, celebrating the artist’s sixtieth birthday and his work that weave together narratives from Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam – three places deeply woven into the artist’s life and journey.
Alongside the leading art galleries, IAF EDI+IONS Ahmedabad presents two celebrated names from India’s contemporary design landscape. Studio Renn, the Mumbai-based jewelry design studio, reimagines wearable art as sculptural experiment, and Ashiesh Shah brings his acclaimed design and architecture practice rooted in wabi-sabi philosophy, uniting indigenous craftsmanship with modern sensibilities across lighting, furniture, and objects.
Building on India Art Fair’s mission to strengthen and connect art ecosystems across South Asia, IAF EDI+IONS extends the fair’s annual curatorial vision into new city-specific contexts. Each edition is deeply rooted in its local creative scene while engaging national and international audiences through curated exhibitions, walkthroughs, and dialogue-driven programming.
The two-day programme features a curated selection of galleries including 079 | STORIES ART GALLERY (Ahmedabad), Akar Prakar (New Delhi), Archer Art Gallery (Ahmedabad), Ashvita’s (Chennai), Chatterjee & Lal (Mumbai), Experimenter (Kolkata / Mumbai), Iram Modern (Ahmedabad), LATITUDE 28 (New Delhi), Nature Morte (New Delhi / Mumbai), PHOTOINK (New Delhi), Samara Art Gallery (Ahmedabad), Shrine Empire (New Delhi), Threshold Art Gallery (New Delhi), Vadehra Art Gallery (New Delhi), ZOCA (Ahmedabad) as well as design participants Ashiesh Shah (Mumbai), and Studio Renn (Mumbai), and institution PATI (Jodhpur). Extending the showcase beyond its interiors, Samara Art Gallery and PATI will present outdoor projects, further expanding the encounter between art, design and the architectural setting of the fair.
