Gandhinagar, October 2021 : Disability can affect a child’s ability to develop speech, language, and social skills. The earlier a child who is differently abled starts getting services, the more likely the child’s speech, language, and social skills and behaviour will reach their full potential. Early intervention program services help young children with hearing loss learn language skills and other important skills. Research shows that early intervention services can greatly improve a child’s development. Babies that are diagnosed with any disability should begin to get intervention services as soon as possible, but no later than 6 months of age.
To create more awareness and providing treatment Tara Foundation took one more initiative with inaugurating new rehabilitation centre cum school in Gandhinagar. As per the data In Gujarat, where every year 1000 children are born with hearing disabilities, Tara Foundation is doing a commendable job addressing an issue that went unnoticed in the society until now.
Tara foundation inaugurated a new center at BRC Bhavan, Gandhinagar with the help from Government. In inauguration program .

Present on the occasion Mr. Sunny Jain, Trustee of Tara Foundation said “Our mission is to enable all disabled children to listen & speak like their normal peers. Tara Foundation works for the betterment of these children’s in all walks of life. Every month 500 student’s getting free treatment in our center at Gandhinagar . We are working in 12 districts with rehabilitation centres. Other than this we conduct workshops, organizing campaigns, events & meetings.
At this centre , occupational therapy , behaviour therapy , music therapy , speech therapy , and audio logical services are working under one roof .
Special education is instruction specifically designed to address the educational and related developmental needs of older children with disabilities, or those who are experiencing developmental delays. Services for these children are provided through the public school system. These services are available through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act 2004 (IDEA 2004) as well.
Talking about the treatment and services Dr Neeraj Suri added that, early intervention is the key to mainstreaming differently abled kids. Don’t ignore or delay the treatment . Acceptance of disability in the family is equally important and then everyone working together with empathy does the work in bringing a change to one life
