To mark the National Public Relations (PR) Day 2023, the PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter organised a special lecture on the theme ‘G20 and Indian Values: A PR Perspective’. Mr Pankaj Bohra, executive vice president, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) was the keynote speaker at the event.
In his opening remarks, Mr Trilok Sanghani, vice chairman, PRSI Ahmedabad chapter briefed the community of PR professionals about the history of PRSI and the National PR Day. The newly elected chairman of PRSI Ahmedabad chapter, Mr Nikhil Aboti introduced the new office bearers of the chapter during the event.
Delivering the keynote address, Mr Bohra highlighted the role and responsibility of public relations professionals in India’s ‘Amrit Kaal’. He particularly emphasised on the fact that the G20 presidency is a great opportunity to promote India’s vision of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) and innovation, along with our cultural heritage and ideology.
In the run up to the National PR Day, an essay competition was also organised for students of Mass Communication and Journalism and the winner was felicitated as part of the National PR Day event.
Present and past office bearers of PRSI Ahmedabad chapters along with the community of PR professionals, academicians, as well as students pursuing mass communication courses at graduate and post-graduate level, were all present at the event organised in Ahmedabad on Friday.
