Surat, Gujarat, 5th May 2023: Mumbai’s premier healthcare provider, Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, inaugurated the Nanavati Max Patient Assistance Centre, a multi-speciality OPD service in Surat, Gujarat today.
Located at the SNS Axis building in Nanpura, Surat, the patient assistance centre hosts over 20 doctors from the hospital, covering various specialties such as Onco-sciences, Liver, Pancreas and Intestine Diseases and Transplant, Neurosciences, Renal Sciences and Transplant, Cardiac Sciences, and Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement.
The initiative brings super-specialityclinical services closer to home, eliminating the need for patients to travel to larger metropolitan cities for expert opinion and guidance. Patients can now book regular appointments for consultations and routine follow-ups regarding their health issues.
Mr. Nilesh Mandlewala, a prominent figure in the field of organ donation in Gujarat, attended the event as the ‘Guest of Honour,’ alongside senior management and clinical representatives of Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital and Max Healthcare.
Earlier this year, the liver transplant team at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital performed a complex liver transplant, providing 34-year-old Surat resident, Harshal Rana, with a renewed chance at life. The centre aims to make a similar significant impact in the lives of patients with rare genetic disorders. It also strives to bridge the gap between delayed diagnosis and superior treatment, reducing the burden of chronic diseases and end-stage organ failure in non-metros such as Surat.
According to Mr. AbhaySoi Chairman and Managing Director, Max Healthcare, “We are delighted to be here in Surat. This move is consistent with our commitment to bringing the same world-class health care to people across both metros and other cities in the country. Our outpatient facility will regularly host senior clinicians from Nanavati Max hospital. We hope that this Max Patient Assistance Centre program will help catalyse access to and the development of a robust healthcare ecosystem in Surat.”
The launch of the Nanavati Max Patient Assistance Centre in Surat signifies a major milestone in expanding quality healthcare services in the region. The centre’s multi-speciality OPD services will increase access to specialized medical care and raise awareness on preventive measures and early detection, contributing to improved healthcare standards and outcomes in Surat and surrounding areas.
