As part of Sony BBC Earth’s new digital property ‘Earth Champions’, the channel is bringingforth stories of real-life heroeswho are making this planet a better placewith their relentless efforts and daily action. As its next guest on World Environment Day, Sony BBC Earth is honoring actor and Earth lover, Sonakshi Sinha who will indulge in an engaging conversation with the channel’s fans via an Instagram LIVE and inspire them to work towards a greener and a more sustainable future.
Sonakshi Sinha, Actor and Earth Lover: “We end up in the environment we create for ourselves, and we must make sure that it’s beautiful. The current situation around us is making us think hard about climate change, and the kind of effect it has on our planet. As responsible individuals, if we make small sustainable changes to our daily routine then together, we can create a healthier environment to live in. I am happy to be a part of Sony BBC Earth’s ‘Earth Champions’ initiative and I hope to inspire other like-minded people to prioritize Earth and help make a positive difference. Every action counts and I hope to lead by example”.
Sonakshi is a passionate Earth lover who loves spending time in nature, with animals and scuba diving. She believes that small changes in daily life can go a long way in having a positive impact on the environment. Hence, she has made significant changes like avoiding the use of plastic bottles, adopting bamboo toothbrushes, conserving water whenever possible, using eco-friendly products and most importantly making people around her aware of the changes they too can make.
