November Story revolves around Anuradha, a young ethical hacker whose biggest worry at hand is selling her father’s house so she can pay for his Alzheimer’s treatment. Overnight, their lives take a dramatic turn: Anuradha finds her father Ganesan next to a woman’s dead body in that same house. A leading crime novel writer with symptoms of erratic behaviour, all the evidence points in Ganesan’s direction. Can she unravel the mystery behind the murder and save her father?
Speaking about choosing projects based on their stories and not language, actor Tamannaah Bhatia said, “A lot of people ask me if I’m mindful of picking projects based on their dialect, but the answer is no. I seek stories with strong backbones with regards to the narrative, character layering and content build up. I have never really catered to the mindset that language is detrimental to good cinema and that regional cinema isn’t part of the larger conversation. The fact of the matter is that a film will be well received if it is enriching, wholesome and relatable, and November Story is a shining example of this theory. Originally created in Tamil, the show has been successful across the country with audiences enjoying the dubbed versions on Disney+ Hotstar VIP just as much. A 7-episode whodunit, November Story features multilayered storytelling with flashbacks across time frames revealing the back story behind the murder.
