Ahmedabad, 2021: At recently conducted Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) – Ahmedabad Chapter, the new office bearers of the association of public relations (PR) practitioners and communications specialists were announced, under the continued leadership of seasoned communication advisor who specialises in the hospitality segment, RK Singh, as the Chairman of the society for the period of 2021-23. He will be joined by Nikhil Aboti, Co-founder, Kinesis Communications, a niche PR and Corporate Communications consultancy based in Ahmedabad, who has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of the society.
The meeting was recently held at Karma Cafe where the office bearers were unanimously elected for the next term.
Nine other office-bearers of PRSI – Ahmedabad Chapter, were also announced. TrilokSanghani, Programme Executive, All India Radio, has been appointed as the Secretary whereas Rajesh Hingu, Founder, Setu Media Management Private Ltd, a leading PR Agency based in Ahmedabad, has been appointed the Joint Secretary. BaijuGovindan, Co-founder, Kinesis Communications, will be handling the responsibility as the Treasurer of the society.
PRSI is a national-level association of PR practitioners and communications specialists in India, working towards professional development. It seeks to formulate and interpret the objectives and potential of public relations, as a socially useful function and uphold its value as an integral part of management.
PRSI also maintains close links with academic institutions for the promotion of public relations as a subject of mass communication &management studies.
The Ahmedabad Chapter of the society has always remained vibrant. The new team will bring forth young professionals to PRSI’s core team here and help increase the number of interactive sessions in order to help its members keep up with the changing scenario of communication in general and public relations in particular.
