Ahmedabad, October 2021: Navratri is around the corner and as per The Gujarat government relaxed night curfew by one hour in eight cities and permitted organization of ‘Garba’ events in Navratri in housing societies and on streets during the nine-day-long festival with certain norms as corona virus cases steadily decline in the state. After looking at the government guideline Gala Glory Cooperative housing society, near south bopal, Ahmedabad have organized 9 day garba event. This 9 Days Garba event organized with different theme for the society for kids to elder. On the announcement of 9 days garba event Mr. Ashish Gambhir (Chairman), Diwaker Pandya (Secretary), Mr. Shivraj Vala (Committee Member), Dr Hitesh Gohil (Cultural Team Member), Ms. Nenshi (Cultural Team Coordinator – Girls), Ms. Prabha (Cultural Team Coordinator – Boys), Dr Dhruva Gohil (Cultural Team Coordinator – Ladies ), Ms Sneha Pandya (Cultural Team Coordinator – Ladies), Ms Shachi shah (Cultural coordinator- Boys) were present.
Mr. Ashish Gambhir (Chairman) added that, since 4 years we are organizing garba event. Last year because of pandemic we could not do the same. But here we are doing different and unique garba where our entire society is getting involved. Following all the covid protocol and we have organized different categories to play garba. In the category we tried to accommodate kids to elder. Every year when our kids went to party plots there was a lot of anxiety until they came back,” he added. This time the anxiety has eased.
Talking about the long one of the garba event at society Mr. Diwaker Pandya, Secretary Said that, Garba is a popular folk dance of Gujarat and is performed with passion and fervor during the Navratri festival, which this year will start from October 7. After facing huge trouble during pandemic time public have slowly started their routine lives. Looking at the scenario and festival time we have organized 9 days garba event in our Gala Glory society where we are strictly asked all the participate and society crowd to get vaccine first and follow all the norms of covid 19. In terms of culture we are presenting all the culture under one roof where everyone can enjoy the same. Our society women are also doing garba practice since one month and teaching small kids as well.
In category we will have kids garba performance, Boy and Girls Garba Performance, traditional ladies garba dance, family garba fance, best kid dancer, best girl dancer, best female dancer, best male dancer, best couple dancer, best traditional dress- kids, best traditional dress – female, best traditional dress – male.
Ms. Nenshi – Cultural Team Coordinator said that, for garba we have also prepare our kids with different performance where they can showcase their talent. We are giving them training since one month. And all the children are very much exited.
