- Tell us something about your character in the show? I’m playing the character of ‘Naagin’. In the previous seasons ‘Naagin’ was seen taking vengeance from her enemies to protect her loved ones, but this time she will be seen fighting a life-threatening catastrophe. This time the threat is not just to her clan but the entire country. To save humanity and be a savior for our country Naagin will rise and face the ultimate demon.
- Have you undergone any special preparation for the role? A.To work in a show that is based on heavy visual effects is challenging. To perform in front of a Green Screen is difficult as we also have to keep a lot of technical things into consideration. We also have to do multiple takes of the same sequence, which honestly is a new thing for me. I not only consult our director during the shoot but also our CGI team keeps guiding with the nuances of our performance. It is a totally new world for me, and I am really excited to learning as much as I can through this experience.
- Why did you choose this show? Naagin is one of the most popular shows on TV and the leading ladies who have done it be it Mouni, Adaa, Surbhi or Hina, they have come out looking like the ‘Indian warrior woman’. When the script was offered to me, I was immediately intrigued by its refreshing storyline. Also, to be a part of Ekta Kapoor’sNaagin universe has always been at the top of my bucket list, and I am very excited about it.
- How excited are you to share the screen with not one but two veteran actors Sudhaa Chandran and Urvashi Dholakia? I have been a great admirer of Sudhaa ji and Urvashi and have followed their commendable work. It will be a great experience to work with these two highly experienced actors of our TV industry who have made a strong impact with the characters they have portrayed. I look forward to working and learning the finer nuances of acting from them.
- What are you looking forward to in the show Naagin 6? I have loved every bit of the storyline, right from the script to the costume to my character portrayal and the dialogues in the show. Naagin is going to be very different this time and will be seen in a completely new avatar. The plot of the show is very intriguing and has the new-age layer to it, which I am sure viewers will find interesting to watch. It will also be quite a different experience for the audience to see me in this role, and I hope that they like it.
- You have been in the industry for close to two decades, what has been your greatest learning experience in this while? As an artist, I feel that the learning experience never stops. It feels like cherishing a jewellery box. Whileyou keep adding new valuables to your collection with passing time but the value of the jewellery you possess never goes away. Similarly, I treasure all the learnings that I have had in my career until now, but I look forward to learning and adapting to new things with every passing day.
- Have you started shooting? How has the experience of working with your co-stars been like? Yes, we have shot a few scenes, and it has been a wonderful experience till now, in such a short span we have gotten along very well with each other, and our bond is getting stronger day by day. All my co-actors are fun to work with and we are learning so many things on daily basis from each other, we share our lunches, read scripts and rehearse our lines together. Everyone is so loving and caring and I just enjoy being around them and shooting with them.
