This season shall witness the female version of the ‘Sheshnaagin’, she is ‘Sarvashreshth Naagin’ who has the sole power to save our country from a looking catastrophe and battle a global crisis that poses a threat to the survival of humanity. She will go far and beyond to fight the most powerful enemy in the history of this show.
- Tell us something about your role? I am essaying the character of Rishabh a defence officer. He loves his family but believes that no love is greater than the love for one’s country. Serving for the nation is of utmost importance to Rishabh than anything else in his life. While he would never spare the wrongdoers, he will fight tooth and nail to protect innocents.
- Any special preparation you had to do for this role? Though I have been a fitness enthusiast I’m working on my physique and postures. I always wanted to play an army officer on-screen and getting one to play in Naagin6 just added to the excitement. I am putting in all my efforts for this role, and I hope our viewers enjoy watching my character on screen.
- Tell us something about your rapport with Tejasswi as you were in the Bigg Boss house and know would be working together in Naagin 6 I am really excited as I know Tejasswi from the Bigg Boss house and we both share a great bond. Now working together would be great as thechemistry automatically enhances when you work with your friend.
- How excited are you to share the screen with not one but two veteran actors Sudhaa Chandran and Urvashi Dholakia? I haven’t worked with Sudhaa ji and Urvashi before, but I am a huge fan of both and have followed their commendable work. It will be a great experience to work with these two highly experienced actors of our TV industry who have made a strong impact with the characters they have portrayed. I look forward to working and learning the finer nuances of acting from them.
- What are you looking forward to in the show Naagin 6? I have loved every bit of the storyline, right from the script to the costume to my character portrayal and the dialogues in the show. Naagin is going to be very different this time and will be seen in a completely new avatar. The plot of the show is very intriguing and has the new-age layer to it, which I am sure viewers will find interesting to watch. It will also be quite a different experience for the audience to see me in this role, and I hope that they like it.
- We have seen how fiction shows including ‘Naagin’ are trolled over a few scenes. What do you have to say about it? I also believe that whatever we do, we should always be prepared for criticism as well. I would say it is the impact of the show that makes people watch it closely and talk about it.
- In today’s world we have access to the best international content there is. Do you think a show like Naagin can match the sensibility of the audience? Yes absolutely! I think Naagin is such a new concept especially in India. We have seen how people go crazy over series like Marvel and DC outside the country. But in India these shows are often criticized. Sometimes people fail to understand that cinema can also be about producing stories that aren’t reality. There are plenty of things in the universe that we haven’t seen and only heard off and those could very well be true. I think we need to expand our imagination more explore our thoughts and we should accept and appreciate when our industry tries to do something new and different.
- Are you feeling nervous or pressurized as this is such a big franchise to be part off? What are your expectations. I am not nervous, and I don’t feel the pressure either. However, I do have a huge responsibility on my shoulders that I need to fulfill. I am putting in my 200 percent and working very hard on this. Everyone is very passionate towards their work and the entire team is putting in all their efforts and doing their best.
- From the film industry, who would you say is an inspiration to you? I was really inspried by Chris Hemsworth in ‘12 Strong’. I am also really inspired by Jack Nicholsan. Speaking of Bollywood, I am very inspired by Hrithik Roshan from War and Lakshya as well.
