- It is always exciting to be a part of such an action-based reality show, but it also needs a lot of preparation and gearing up for facing the challenges. What kind of preparations have you done to be a part of the show? To be frank, I think, other than swimming, I have done no other preparation. I think I have just been working on my body and that also, you know, I’ve been working on for the last four, five months because of my show (on Voot Cyber) for which I had to put on some muscle. Because I was busy shooting, and I had no time at all before coming to Khatron Ke Khiladi. I was shooting almost every day, every night, so whatever time I could get after 4-5 hours of sleep I was going for my swimming classes or swimming practice. But I could do only for 4-5 days, and in those days only I learnt whatever I could and that only is helping me
2. How challenging did you find finding the show? Really challenging, really, really challenging, it’s not easy, looks easy, but it’s very difficult. When you come to do a stunt, you know, that moment is scary.
3. How was your first day when you were asked to do a task, was there any apprehension or were you all set to perform? All set to perform! There was no apprehension. It was a water stunt, and it was the right opportunity for me to conquer that fear (of water). And I did it, obviously I was scared, I will not say I am not scared ‘darr toh lagta hi hai’ but then I had to conquer that fear and do the stunt, even today whenever I do a stunt, I think of it as my first.
4. How do you find Rohit Shetty as a host? One of the best, I think he’s the best. Nobody else can host the show as good as him. He knows the show in and out, he knows the stunts and he is personally involved in the stunts. While doing stunts if he is around, I am more relieved, whenever you’re stuck in a stunt and you feel you are not able to do it, he gives a little guidance and you do it. I think there is no one in the industry as good as him when it comes to action; he hosts brilliantly, he is warm and has a personal connect with every contestant. He is the best host.
5. Do you think being a part of a reality show will change your image? No, I don’t want to change my image. I’m very happy with my image.
6. What is the most challenging stunt you’ve performed so far? Um, it was a shock stunt.
7. Any fun moments are behind the scenes moments that you’d like to share with The first day, when I came here (to Cape Town), Sriti took me out for dinner, we went to this mall at the Waterfront (in Cape Town) and there I played music, some people recognized me, and they started dancing with me. It was a kind of welcome for me in Cape Town.
