Telecom Women Welfare Organization (TWWO) is a non-profit organization working for women empowerment. Utkarsh Mela is being organized by TWWO BSNL, Gujarat for the upliftment of women and the betterment of society by promoting BSNL products, providing a platform for vendors to showcase their products and services and promoting entrepreneurship for local businesses. In which visitors will get to enjoy shopping, food, entertainment. On this occasion Hon’ble Shri P. K. Purwar, CMD, BSNL, New Delhi, Mrs. Manjiri Purwar, President TWWO, BSNL, New Delhi, Shri Sandeep Savarkar, CGM, BSNL, Gujarat and Dr. Many dignitaries including Archana Savarkar, President TWO, BSNL Gujarat were present.
There was a total of 50 stalls at Utkarsh Mela out of which 10 were food stalls and the rest were commercial stalls. In these 40 stalls, along with commercial stalls, each of the 17 operational areas of BSNL Gujarat were also represented, showcasing the specialty of their city. The event will also boost local industries. Besides, community involvement, showcase of products and services etc. benefits will also be available.
Besides, housie, lucky draws, gift vouchers, DJ music, live performance, selfie points etc. were also organized to entertain the people. It is worth mentioning that a large number of people attended the Utkarsh Mela 2024 organized by TWOO BSNL. A special cultural program was also organized in the evening of Utkarsh Mela.
On the occasion Hon’ble Mr. P. K. Purwar, CMD, BSNL, New Delhi said, “BSNL currently operates in 3 segments. – Landline, Mobile and Enterprise customers. We are also contributing to make people self-reliant under Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign. We are happy to share that more than 20,000 employees from SBI branch have joined our network.
Ms. Manjiri Purwar, President TWCO, BSNL, New Delhi said, “TWCO is the central body under which TWWO works. It is an organization run by women and for women. Our all-out effort is to empower women to become self-reliant. I thank all our volunteers who join us for every social event.”
Mr. Sandeep Savarkar, CGM, BSNL, Gujarat said, “Mobile expansion will see implementation of 6000 BTS in Gujarat. As 4G BTS has been launched in India, 1 BTS has been launched in Surat, Gujarat which has a speed of 50 Mbps and we are expanding it further.”
Dr. Archana Savarkar, President TWO, BSNL Gujarat said, “I am a homeopathic doctor myself and I want every woman to stand on her own feet. Become self-sufficient. We will use the fund from this Utkarsh Mela only for social service. Another reason for organizing this kind of event is for members of the BSNL family to meet each other.”
