Ahmedabad, March 2024 : Alpha International School, Oganaj, Ahmedabad is a campus of education where students spend their mornings and evenings like birds fluttering in the sky without knowing where. Now this year the school annual function was celebrated at Alpha International School, Oganj, Ahmedabad and like every year the school has not held back on innovation this time too. This year’s annual function was managed by the students of the school themselves and they carried out the annual function program with full responsibility. The students of class-1 to 9 took up different responsibilities, from cleaning to parking, from invitations to food arrangements and from deciding the menu to serving it. The students formed different committees and managed the outsourcing agencies which became a very new experience for the students, in which the students themselves handled everything from sound, caterers, lighting, security and parking of the visiting parents and guests to their seating arrangements and public management. Took up and fulfilled all responsibilities.
The performances presented by the students included spiritual performances including Mahabharata, social performances such as dialogues on issues such as resolution of family problems, cultural and traditional dances by preschool children, various yoga’s including Chandra Namaskar, Surya Namaskar, and musical performances enthralled the audience. In the annual function and science exhibition, students presented charts, models made by themselves without the guidance of teachers, innovative working models related to water purification, lunar arts, health and environment and also presented various scientific models made on the occasion of Science Day. The students also gave a presentation to the parents and invited guests about the various activities conducted in the school during the year, from the field trips conducted throughout the year to the initiatives taken by the school for practical base learning and the integration of learning and understanding gained by the students.
A month of hard work put in by the students for the entire program was successful and clearly visible in the unique planning of the annual function. During this management, the wonderful management skills and teamwork of the children were well introduced to the school family and parents. This activity involving the children also received mixed response from the parents and the parents appreciated this innovative initiative taken by the school and expressed confidence that these children will acquire outstanding talent by utilizing the management skills well in the family and society.
Programs like annual functions are held every year at every school level, but the management of such programs and the responsibility of the performance done in them is rarely seen anywhere, which is the distinguishing feature of Alpha International School.The institute’s innovative approach of imparting practical base education was applauded by the society.
