A unique millet food festival- “Samvedana no Swad 2024” which showcased the cooking talent of visually impaired women was organized in Ahmedabad on 29th March by Late Ranjanben Ramanlal Charitable Trust with the support of Sadvichar Parivar. In this cooking show held at Sadvichar Parivar in Ahmedabad, more than 30 visually impaired women showcased their cooking skills. All these women made unique dishes from millet. It is worth mentioning that this entire program was organized by Mukeshbhai Patel. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Bhushanbhai Poonani and Jenishben Parmar. Also, as the chief guest of the program, Dr. Bharatbhai Bhagat and Dr. Pankajbhai Shah was present. Shri Shaileshbhai Patwari, Shri Jashubhai Kavi, Dr. Nadalal Manseta and Mrs. Diptiben Amarkotya were the special guests of the program.
Regarding this innovative initiative, the organizer Mr. Mukeshbhai Patel said, “The objective of this program is to create awareness in the society. These visually impaired women have proved that blind people have their own unique art like common people. They also can cook so beautifully and can be self-sufficient. They need no support.”
Today women are doing good in any field and they are becoming self-reliant. Just like common women, if visually impaired women get this kind of platform, they can do anything and they can spread the message of awareness in the society by displaying their talents.
