Gujarat: Since the release of the teaser for Kaashi Raaghav, anticipation among audiences has been on the rise. To heighten the excitement, the filmmakers have unveiled a heartfelt lullaby song, “Nindru Re,” which beautifully portrays the emotional connection between a mother and her daughter. Sung by the immensely talented Rekha Bhardwaj, the song is a testament to the poignant narrative of the film.
Produced under the banner of Dhanpal Films by Dhanpal Shah, the movie is written and directed by Dhruv Goswami. The lyrics of “Nindru Re” are penned by Jatan Pandya, with music composed by Vatsal Goswami and Kavan Bhatt. Director and writer Dhruv Goswami shared, “This is the first time Rekha Bhardwaj has sung for a Gujarati film. She showed keen interest in this project and quickly gave her nod to the song, delivering it with unmatched passion and grace.”
The film features Deeksha Joshi and Jayesh More in lead roles, supported by Shruhad Goswami and child artist Pihushree Gadhvi, who plays Kaashi’s (Deeksha Joshi) daughter. The lullaby captures the tender journey of a mother-daughter relationship, weaving through emotions and moments of vulnerability.
Kaashi Raaghav explores the complexities of relationships, emotional struggles, and untold stories. The film presents Deeksha Joshi in a bold portrayal of a prostitute, a role rarely seen in Gujarati cinema.
The cast also includes Bharat Thakkar, Kalpana Gagdekar, Saurabh Saraswat, Preeti Das, Vishal Thakkar, Devansh Patel, Jigar Bagriya, Hiral Dangar, and Gaurang JD. Set against diverse backdrops like Kashi Vishwanath, Varanasi, Kolkata, and Gujarat, the film brings a unique blend of Gujarati and Bengali cultures to the big screen—a first for regional cinema.
Co-written by Jatan Pandya, Jhanvi Chopra, and Dhruv Goswami, with cinematography by Pratik Parmar, the film’s music, composed by Vatsal Goswami and Kavan Bhatt, adds depth to its cinematic storytelling.
