The much-awaited trailer of Faati Ne? was released yesterday and has been receiving immense love from both the audience and the film industry. Starring Hitu Kanodia and Smit Pandya, the film promises a thrilling yet hilarious ride as the lead duo confronts a ghost in a mysterious mansion in Melbourne. Adding to the intrigue is the quirky character of Baba Bhootmaarinaa, whose unexpected entry in the trailer has sparked curiosity and laughter in equal measure.
The makers revealed during the trailer launch that the eccentric and comical character of Baba Bhootmaarinaa is portrayed by Hemin Trivedi, a celebrated actor known for his work in films like [insert films]. His performance adds a unique layer of humor to the story, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats with laughter.
Director Faisal Hashmi shared an interesting backstory about the creation of this character, stating, “ Baba Bhootmaarinaa was envisioned as a weirdly funny yet pivotal character who could provide comic relief while driving the plot forward. Hemin Trivedi brought this vision to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined.”
Speaking about his role, Hemin Trivedi shared how challenging yet rewarding it was to play Baba Bhootmaarinaa . “This is the first time in my career, both in acting and theatre, that I’ve taken on such a unique role. The prosthetics, the makeup, and especially the special lenses made it an entirely different experience. I couldn’t see anything during the shoot. It was like performing blindfolded. Director Faisal Hashmi and co-actors Hitu Kanodia and Smit Pandya literally guided me through every step on set—they’d say, ‘Take two steps to the left, now move right.’ It was a collaborative effort, and I’m proud of what we achieved.”
The prosthetics, especially the eyes, were a key part of bringing Baba’s look to life. Despite the difficulties, Hemin’s skilled performance has already left fans wanting more. He teasingly remarked during the launch, “What you saw in the trailer is just the tip of the iceberg—*picture toh abhi baaki hai, mere dost!*”
Adding a touch of comic relief is the quirky character of Baba Bhootmaarinaa, played by Hemin Trivedi, whose antics have already intrigued audiences. The film also stars Mona Thiba Kanodia in a cameo role and Akash Zhala in a key supporting role, making for a well-rounded ensemble cast.
