Ahmedabad – Rangoli Handicraft Producers Company Ltd., in collaboration with the Development Commissioner Handicrafts and the Jodhpur Art Gallery, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, is proud to announce the launch of Project Naari, a transformative initiative dedicated to empowering 20 exceptional women artisans. This special exhibition, coinciding with International Women’s Day, aims to showcase their remarkable talent and foster economic independence. The inauguration has been done on March 9th at the Jodhpur Art Gallery, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The exhibition will be open from March 10th to 22nd, daily between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM, at the same venue Shri Amit Thaker (Honourable MLA, Vejalpur) was present at the time of inauguration.
Project Naari will feature a stunning collection of handcrafted art, highlighting the rich tapestry of Indian craftsmanship. Visitors can expect to be captivated by exquisite embroidery, intricate handmade and handpainted jewelry, vibrant patch work, delicate applique work, free-spirited boho art, and dazzling mirror and patch work. This exhibition is a testament to the dedication, skill, and creative vision of these women artisans.
The project goes beyond simply showcasing art. It provides comprehensive mentorship, guiding artisans in translating their traditional skills into contemporary masterpieces. Through empowerment workshops, participants will gain crucial business acumen, design innovation, and entrepreneurial strategies, empowering them to thrive in the modern market.
We invite the public to join us in celebrating the extraordinary talent of these women and to support their livelihoods. By purchasing their creations, you are directly contributing to their economic empowerment and the preservation of India’s rich cultural heritage.
This initiative aligns with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission to promote “Vocal for Local” and empower women, fostering self-reliance and sustainable growth.
Project Naari seeks to elevate the perception of handicrafts, transforming them into coveted art objects and creating sustainable livelihoods. We are committed to celebrating cultural heritage and advancing women’s economic participation in the arts.
