Deepika Singh who plays Mangal in ‘Mangal Lakshmi’ shares, “Yoga has been part of my life since I was a child. I grew up watching my mother practise it every morning, it became something I absorbed without even realising. Over time, it turned into a quiet anchor for me. I even pursued formal training, but what stays with me are the small shifts it brings, mentally, physically, emotionally. As a classical Odissi dancer, I’ve always felt that yoga and dance share the same rhythm, both need presence and patience. Even on the sets while shooting for ‘Mangal Lakshmi’, I try to find moments to reconnect through breath or a quick stretch. It’s amazing how something so simple can help you reset completely. For me, yoga isn’t about performance. It’s about showing up for yourself every day. This International Yoga Day, I hope everyone finds their own small way to begin. You don’t need much, just a little space and intention.”
Rubina Dilaik from ‘Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment’ shares, “Yoga is my way of grounding myself, especially in a world that’s constantly moving. It’s not always about an hour-long session on the mat, sometimes, it’s just five minutes of deep breathing and tuning inwards. As someone who juggles continuous shoots and travel, yoga gives me a much-needed pause. Even during the chaos of cooking battles on Laughter Chefs, I’ve created designated spots on set where I can do yoga and stay in that calm zone. I’ve noticed how just a few conscious breaths can completely shift my energy. That’s the beauty of yoga, it meets you where you are. On International Yoga Day, I want to encourage everyone to stop treating yoga like a task. Think of it as a daily gift to yourself. Your body and mind deserve that kindness.”
Narayani Shastri who plays Lalita in ‘Noyontara’ shares, “Yoga for me has always been about centering myself. It’s helped me stay connected to myself, especially while portraying layered roles like Lalita in ‘Noyontara’, where there’s so much going on emotionally. Yoga allows me to switch off, process quietly, and come back with a clear mind. I don’t approach yoga with pressure. Some days it’s a full practice; other days, it’s just mindful breathing. But every time, it gives me a moment of stillness, something we all need in today’s fast-paced world. The more I practice, the more I realise it’s not just about physical flexibility, it’s about emotional strength and mental clarity. On International Yoga Day, I’d say: listen to your body, be kind to yourself, allow space for serenity.”
