Surat, September 2025: Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service organization, continuously dedicated to human welfare for the past 107 years. Today, with over 14 lakhs members across more than 200 countries, the organization plays a leading role in various sectors of society. In India and many other countries, Lions Clubs has made remarkable contributions through services in healthcare, education, environmental protection, blood banks, and disaster relief. In Gujarat, Lions District 3232 F2, covering areas from Surat and Bharuch to Umargam, is actively engaged in providing uninterrupted community services. This information was shared in Surat by Lion Mona Desai, District Governor of Lions District 3232 F2. Other dignitaries present included Lion Priyanka Jain Rawal – SVDG; Lion Nishith Kinariwala – PMCC; Lion Deepak Pakhale – PVMC; Lion Sudhir Desai – PDG; Lion Sonal Desai – District Secretary; and Lion Shikha Sarupria – District Treasurer. Also, Lion Yogesh Desai, District Coordinator, Cyber Crime Awareness, was present as part of the arrangements at the event.
Mona Desai, District Governor, Lions District 3232 F2 said, “Under our launched campaign, 3000 protein kits will be delivered to every patient from Vapi to Bharuch by Lions Clubs International (District 3232 F2), and this campaign will continue throughout the year.
In India, Lions Clubs International has established numerous hospitals, schools, blood banks, and healthcare centres to meet emerging community needs and implement service projects. The organization continues to provide services across multiple areas, including diabetes management and various healthcare initiatives, environmental protection and conservation, eye care and treatment, distribution of ration kits and food packets to the underprivileged, drug awareness programs, youth character-building activities, Lions Quest and Youth Development Programs, leadership training and fellowship programs, blood donation camps, and health awareness initiatives. Notably, under the “Prime Minister TB Free India Campaign,” Lions Clubs has also signed MOUs with the government to aid in TB prevention. The organization is also proactive in providing grants and support to communities affected by natural disasters.
The service centers of Lions Clubs International, spanning from Surat and Bharuch to Umargam in Gujarat, are continuously contributing to social welfare. These include Lions International Academy – Garden City Road, Ankleshwar; Lions School – New Colony, GIDC, Ankleshwar; Lions Club of Chikhli – Blood Bank, Chikhli; Lions Club of Umra – Sarda Yatan School, Piplod, Surat; Lions Club of Surat – Lions Cancer Hospital; Lions Club of Madhi Town – Diabetes Retinopathy Machine inside Lions Hospital; Lions Club of Navsari – Lions Hospital, Dudhiya Talav, Navsari; Lions Club of Surat – Lions Cancer Hospital Expansion Building; Lions Club of Vapi Udyognagar – Lions Eye Hospital, Gunjan Area, Vapi; and Lions Club of Surat Smart City – Uttar Buniyadi Vidyalaya Boys Hostel, Patal. Guided by the motto “More Hands, More People, More Service,” Lions Clubs International is writing a new chapter in community service.
The aim of Lions District 3232 F2 is not limited to service activities alone, but also to extend cooperation, hope, and positive change to all segments of society.
