Ahmedabad: Indus University organized its 10th Convocation Ceremony at its Rancharda campus. According to the university, this year degrees were conferred upon 1,248 undergraduate students, 327 postgraduate students, and 8 PhD students. Additionally, 18 students from various courses received gold medals and 6 students were presented with memorial awards.
The ceremony commenced on 5 December at 6 pm with a convocation procession. The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. B.S. Rao, Vice President (Digital & Strategy) at Adani Group, while the Guest of Honour was Mr. Ashok Mehta, Founder and Chairman of Suchi Industries.
On 6 December, the inauguration ceremony of the Indus Advanced Green Nanotechnology Institute (iAGNi) will be held on the campus. Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee, renowned cardiologist Dr. Tejas Patel, will be the Chief Guest, and Dr. K. S. Nagesh from JSS Dental College, Mysuru, will attend as Guest of Honour.
Other distinguished guests, including Dr. Anantkumar Hegde, Chairman of Kadamba Society, and Dr. Kattesh V. Katti, nanoscience expert from the University of Missouri and cancer specialist, will also be present. According to the university, iAGNi will provide a new direction to green nanotechnology research, and this innovative technology will be highly beneficial for the treatment of cancer and several other diseases.
During the convocation ceremony, the university presented the annual report, honorary doctorates, scholastic medals, and various degrees. The event was also attended by Indus University’s President Secretariat Dr. Nagesh Bhandari, Dr. Ritu Bhandari, Radhika Bhandari, members of the Board of Management and Board of Governors, along with many eminent personalities from various fields.
