Ahmedabad, 9 February 2026: With the objective of showcasing Gujarati art, culture, and creative talent on a global platform, the first edition of the Global Gujarati Awards was officially launched on 9 February 2026 as a new and significant initiative. The awards are being organized by AR9 Holidays Pvt. Ltd., with a Cultural Night on 7 March and a grand Awards Night on 8 March, to be held at the globally renowned destination of Gujarat — Kutch Yatra Resort, Dhorado (White Rann of Kutch). Speaking about the event, Mr. Arvind Rupaliya, Director of AR9 Holidays Pvt. Ltd. and Founder of Kutch Yatra Resort gave information.
The prestigious awards are being guided and managed by Mr. Hetal Thakkar, Mr. Jigar Chauhan, and Mr. Vivek Thakkar, who have envisioned the Global Gujarati Awards not merely as an award function, but as a platform representing Gujarati identity, pride, and global presence.
Under the Global Gujarati Awards, individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of art, culture, creators, film, and music will be honored across more than 40 categories. Winners in all categories will be selected independently by an impartial and autonomous jury, further strengthening the credibility and prestige of the awards.
Speaking about the event, Mr. Arvind Rupaliya, Director of AR9 Holidays Pvt. Ltd. and Founder of Kutch Yatra Resort, stated in his special address: “An initiative like the Global Gujarati Awards is a matter of pride for Kutch. Kutch is not only a tourism hub, but is now set to become a global centre for the celebration of Gujarati art and culture. For AR9, it is a proud moment to organize the first edition of these awards and to provide Gujarat with a global platform through Kutch Yatra Resort.”
He further added: “The Cultural Night on 7 March and the Awards Night on 8 March will not merely be events, but a confluence of Gujarat’s soul, traditions, and contemporary creativity.”
As a global-level event is being organized at the White Rann of Kutch, organizer Mrs. Mital Patel stated that the people of Kutch are already eagerly looking forward to experiencing this grand program.
