The closing event of the year was designed as a deeply reflective and meaningful gathering, moving away from a celebratory tone to create a moment of pause, introspection, and personal connection for the members. The event witnessed an overwhelming response with the maximum attendance of 180 participants, with the audience comprising entirely of women from diverse professional and entrepreneurial backgrounds.
The evening began with Chairperson of YFLO Neha Goyal sharing the intention behind the theme “A Letter to Yourself.” She spoke about how, in the rush of everyday life, women often focus on fulfilling responsibilities, building careers, nurturing families, and supporting communities — but rarely pause to reflect on their own inner journeys.
She encouraged the audience to take this evening as an opportunity to look inward, acknowledge their growth, and reconnect with their own voice and aspirations.
Neha also shared that the purpose of the evening was to remind everyone that while life often measures success through external achievements, true fulfilment comes from clarity, intention, and alignment with oneself.
The keynote address by Gaur Gopal Das Ji beautifully resonated with the theme of the evening. With his signature blend of wisdom, humour, and storytelling, he engaged the audience in a deeply relatable conversation about life, choices, and self-awareness.
One of the most powerful messages he shared was the idea that life should not be judged only by the final outcome, but by the journey we experience along the way. He explained that we should not allow the “English suffer” — the end result — to define our story, but rather learn to enjoy the “Hindi safar” — the journey itself.
He emphasized the importance of living life with intention, reminding the audience that our days, choices, and actions ultimately shape the story we write for ourselves.
Another key message he shared was about self-reflection and journaling. He encouraged the audience to regularly spend time with their own thoughts, writing and reflecting, so that they can build a deeper connection with their inner voice and their soul.
He also spoke very honestly about balance and expectations in life. He reminded the audience that it is unrealistic to expect ourselves to perform at 100% in every area of life simultaneously. If someone is deeply focused on building their career at a particular stage, it is natural that other areas may not always receive the same level of attention — and that this should be accepted with compassion rather than guilt.
Through several anecdotes and relatable examples, he highlighted that happiness and fulfilment are not achieved through constant comparison or perfection, but through awareness, gratitude, and purposeful living.
Some of the key takeaways from his talk included:
- Learning to embrace the journey of life rather than obsessing over outcomes
- Living with clear intention and awareness
- Practicing self-reflection and journaling to connect with one’s inner voice
- Letting go of the pressure to excel in every area of life at the same time
- Understanding that true success is measured not only by achievements but by inner fulfilment
The evening concluded with a beautiful reflective exercise where attendees were invited to write a personal letter to themselves, capturing their thoughts, intentions, and promises for the future. These letters will be sent back to them after a year as a reminder of the reflections they made that evening.
The event created a deep emotional impact, leaving members inspired to slow down, reflect, and lead their lives with greater clarity and purpose.
It was a fitting and meaningful conclusion to a year focused on growth, connection, and impact.
