Gandhinagar: For the first time in the history of any cow shelter (Gaushala) premises, the Chaturmas Aradhana Mahotsav will be organized under the divine presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya at Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda, which is one of the world’s largest cow service institutions. This grand event will run from July 26 to September 29, and is expected to draw lakhs of cow devotees from across the country.
Inspired by the institution’s founder and chief patron, the highly revered Gau-Rishi Swami Shri Duttasharananandji Maharaj, the ‘Surabhi Harihar Chaturmas Aradhana Mahotsav’ will be hosted amidst thousands of revered cows on the sacred land of Abhinav Brajmandal Manorama Goloktirth Arbudaranya. The patron of Shri Surabhi Shaktipeeth, Revered Mahant Shri Yogesh Das Ji Maharaj, stated that this is the first time a Chaturmas is being organized in a Gaushala under the holy guidance of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Revered Swami Shri Sadanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, Sharda Dwarika Peethadhishwar. This is being hailed as a historic milestone in the realms of cow service (Gau-seva) and Sanatan culture.
Shri Mukeshji Chachan, President of Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda Lok Punyarth Nyas, Karnavati, shared that a total of seven spiritual discourses (Kathas) will be held during the Chaturmas, including Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Shri Ramcharitmanas Katha, Nani Bai Ka Mayra, Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha, Shri Harihar Bhaktamal Katha, and Gau Bhaktamal Katha. The patron of the Karnavati branch, Shri Subhashji Jodiwal, added that alongside these, various religious and cultural festivals will be celebrated, and special cow rituals (Gau-Anusthan) will be performed daily.
Union Minister Shri Lalitbhai Agrawal stated that national-level seminars will also be organized during the event, focusing on topics such as dung and cow-urine-based natural farming, the benefits of using cow milk, cow medicine (Gau-chikitsa), cow conservation, the protection of indigenous breeds, and Panchagavya-based human medicine. Through these initiatives, a massive public awareness campaign for cow-consciousness (Gau-chetna) will be launched.
The CEO of the organization, Shri Alokji Singhal, mentioned that responsibilities are being assigned to various cow-devotees (Gau-sevaks) to promote and spread awareness about this festival across every village in Gujarat. Meanwhile, thousands of devotees from Karnavati-Gandhinagar and all over the country will reach Pathmeda through various spiritual journeys (Yatras) to receive the divine benefits of Chaturmas worship and cow service. Shri Vinodji Sahiwal, Chairman of the Karnavati branch, reiterated that during this period, national seminars would be organized on subjects like dung-urine-based farming, benefits of using dairy products derived from cows, various dimensions of cow medicine, cow conservation, cow nourishment, breed enhancement, and human therapy through Panchagavya.
Coordinator Shri Anandji Agrawal expressed that along with awakening cow-consciousness, extensive promotional work will be carried out across every village in Gujarat through this event, for which various Gau-sevaks are being designated specific duties. General Secretary Shri Anjaniji Gupta added that thousands of cow devotees from Gujarat will travel through various spiritual journeys to participate in this grand ritual dedicated to Gau-mata during this period. On this auspicious occasion, the presence of Shri Devaramji Digari, Shri Shriramji Hendwada, Shri Ghevarchandji Bilad, Shri Girdharilalji Sodha, and Shri Narendraji Rupavas was highly noted.
