- 5X growth recorded in minutes of Live class attended among premium users in recent months
- Mathematics& Science recorded a growth of whopping 4X and 5X respectively

December, 2020: With the disruption caused owing to the sudden emergence of Covid-19, the education system has completely transformed from offline to online. Riding on the growth of the EdTech sector, Indian Edtech major Meritnation, a subsidiary of test preparation leader Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), has recorded an impressive growth in terms of paid users from the city ofAhmedabad in Gujarat.
Meritnation has registeredaFive-Fold growth in minutes of Live Classes attended by premium users from the city in recent months. A whopping 4Xand 5X growth was recorded in Live Class usage by students inMathematics and Science respectively. Also, a growth of 6X and 8X was recorded from Grades 9 and 10 respectively.
The increase in percentage is calculated by comparing the recent monthly usage of Live Classes by premium users to their usage in the beginning of the lockdown.As per the data, paid users from grades 9 and 10 contributed to a majority of this growth.
