Ahmedabad: Known for its vibrant cultural scene, Ahmedabad is steadily gaining prominence as a hub for art lovers across India and now, internationally as well. The city is set to host a captivating art exhibition titled “Mannmit – An Artistic Serenade with the Light of Love,” curated by internationally acclaimed artist Victoria Lapshina. The exhibition will be on display at Jodhpur Art Gallery from May 5 to May 16, offering visitors an emotionally rich and visually immersive experience.
This exhibition marks Victoria Lapshina’s curatorial debut in Ahmedabad and presents a heartfelt journey through art that reflects her unique perspective and emotive expression. A special preview of the exhibition was held on May 4, attended by notable art enthusiasts, including Ravindra Maradia, who remarked, “Victoria Lapshina’s paintings are filled with deep emotions. Her use of neon colors on dark walls creates a truly captivating effect. This exhibition reflects her personal artistic journey.”
The exhibition features around 27 striking artworks, with a significant number created using neon colors, a rare visual treat for Ahmedabad’s art scene. For the first time in Gujarat, visitors will also witness paintings that glow under UV light, enhancing the sensory experience of the exhibit.
The artworks include canvas paintings, wall sculptures, and conceptual pieces that explore various facets of human emotion, positivity, and inner light. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be donated to support mental health causes, reflecting Victoria’s commitment to emotional well-being and social impact.
Victoria’s husband, Dr. Chinmay Patel, a gynecologist and entrepreneur, shared, “Victoria is formally trained in art and deeply passionate about it. She is a strong advocate for mental health, and this exhibition is an extension of that advocacy.”
The exhibition has been made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Tejas Patel and Dr. Aman Patel, who played a pivotal role in bringing this creative vision to life.
Each artwork in Mannmit is a blend of vivid colors, abstract forms, and heartfelt storytelling, inviting viewers not only to observe but to connect with the emotions conveyed. As the exhibition’s motto suggests, “My eyes fell for what I saw!” — every piece captures fleeting moments of life through expressive strokes and imaginative colors.
Art lovers are invited to experience Mannmit at the Jodhpur Art Gallery from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, between May 5 and May 16. Don’t miss this soul-stirring artistic journey that promises to leave a lasting impression.
